Behavior
A burrowing tilefish that pairs naturally. Active swimmer that hovers near the bottom, retreating to its burrow when startled. Peaceful community fish that works well with other calm reef species. Best kept as a mated pair for optimal health and activity.
Diet & Feeding
Carnivore. Feeds on zooplankton. Offer frozen mysis, frozen brine shrimp, and small carnivore-appropriate pellets. Feed multiple times daily in small amounts.
Cautions
Deep sand bed required. Extreme jumper — tight-fitting lid mandatory. Pairs are more stable than singles.
