Catfish are usually rather shy aquarium inhabitants, some of
which only come out at night and search for food either in the bottom substrate
or by rasping and with suction. Accordingly, they require food that sinks to
the bottom and retains its shape for a long time. Most catfish are omnivorous,
but there are some species that mainly prefer plant-based food (e.g.
loricariids) or animal-based food (e.g. Corydoras). sera offers three staple
