Behavior
Primarily nocturnal. One of the only invertebrates that reliably consumes bubble algae (Valonia). Active grazer on live rock. Generally peaceful when well fed.
Diet & Feeding
Herbivore. Specializes in eating bubble algae, hair algae, and filamentous algae. Also scavenges detritus and meaty foods.
Cautions
May occasionally nip at fleshy LPS corals (Hammer, Frogspawn, Torch) or small clams when underfed. Keep well fed to prevent predatory behavior.
