| Origin | Western Pacific — Australia, Indonesia, Philippines |

Behavior
One of the more attractively patterned rabbitfish. Like all rabbitfish, it is a superb algae grazer and generally peaceful. Often pairs naturally and is most active during daylight hours. Works well in reef systems where it helps control algae growth.
Diet & Feeding
Herbivore. Grazes heavily on macro and filamentous algae. Supplement with dried seaweed (nori), spirulina, and herbivore pellets. Also accepts frozen mysis as a protein supplement.
Cautions
Venomous dorsal spines — handle with care, never net carelessly. Spines cause a painful but not typically dangerous sting. Generally does not use spines in the aquarium unless handled.
