Rolland’s Damsel

Rolland’s Damsel

Chrysiptera rollandi

Identification A small two-toned damsel — a pale bluish-white body with a dark blue-to-black rear half and dorsal fin, and yellow highlights on the lower fins and face.
Maximum Length 2.4″
Origin Western Pacific
Minimum Tank Size 20 Gallon
Reef Compatibility Reef safe. Harmless to corals and invertebrates.

Behavior

One of the more peaceful damsels — hardy, active and far less aggressive than most, making it a good reef community fish. It holds a small territory around the rockwork and can be kept singly or, in a large tank, in a small group.

Diet & Feeding

Mysis, enriched brine, frozen preparations, pellet and marine algae; eats almost anything.

Cautions

Mildly territorial, but among the best-behaved damsels; still add it before more timid fish.
