Behavior
A moderately peaceful tang found in surge zones and shallow reef flats in the wild. Tends to school naturally. Adapts reasonably well to aquarium life when given adequate space. Not commonly kept but an interesting addition for the experienced hobbyist.
Diet & Feeding
Herbivore. Naturally grazes on turf algae in high-energy wave zones. Provide dried seaweed daily, spirulina, and algae-based prepared foods.
Cautions
Less commonly available than other tangs. Needs good water flow and ample swimming room.
