Overview
Colt Coral (Cladiella), also called Finger Leather or Seababy, is a hardy branching soft coral with soft, stubby “fingers” that sway in the current. It is one of the most forgiving beginner corals and grows quickly.
Care & Placement
Give low-to-moderate light and moderate flow. Place low-to-mid on rock. Like other leathers/softs it periodically sheds a waxy film and retracts for a day or two — normal. Give it room to grow.
Feeding
Mostly photosynthetic; feeding optional. Occasional broadcast feeding of coral foods can help.
Propagation
Easy — cut a branch and pin or glue it to a plug until it attaches.

Cautions
Releases mild chemicals (terpenes) that can bother stony corals — run carbon and allow good flow/space. The periodic shedding/retraction is normal.
