Overview
Anthelia (the “Waving Hand” coral) forms a carpet of long-stalked, feathery polyps that sway constantly — similar to Xenia but the polyps do not pulse. Hardy and fast-growing, it thrives in nutrient-rich tanks and is a good, hypnotic beginner soft coral.
Care & Placement
Adaptable to low-to-moderate light and gentle-to-moderate flow. Place low-to-mid where its spread can be controlled — it grows and encrusts quickly across rock and even glass.
Feeding
Largely photosynthetic and absorbs dissolved nutrients directly; generally needs no feeding.
Propagation
Frag by cutting or peeling a patch and attaching to rubble; it spreads readily on its own.

Cautions
A rapid spreader that can overtake rockwork — isolate it or prune regularly. Peaceful.
