Overview
The Kenya Tree Coral is a hardy, tree-shaped soft coral that sways gracefully in the current. It is one of the most forgiving corals available and tolerates a wide range of conditions, making it ideal for beginners.
Care & Placement
Thrives under low-to-moderate light and flow. It periodically “drops” small branches that settle and grow into new colonies, so place it where new growth can be managed.
Feeding
Photosynthetic; supplemental feeding is optional. It absorbs some nutrients from the water and can take fine particulate foods.
Propagation
Extremely easy — cut a branch and glue or wedge it into rubble; it roots readily. It also self-fragments naturally.
Cautions
Spreads via dropped branches that can pop up around the tank — remove unwanted colonies. Otherwise peaceful.
