Behavior
A large, active wrasse that requires open swimming space and a deep sand bed to sleep in at night. Can be challenging to wean onto prepared foods. Once established, hardy and long-lived.
Diet & Feeding
Carnivore. In the wild feeds on benthic invertebrates. Offer live rock with copepods initially, transitioning to frozen mysis and meaty foods.
Cautions
Challenging to acclimate — needs a well-established tank with live rock and copepods. Not recommended for beginners.
