Behavior
An open-water, fast-moving fish that requires an enormous aquarium to thrive. Best suited for large, sparsely decorated systems that allow free swimming. Generally peaceful toward other species but intimidating due to its size.
Diet & Feeding
Herbivore. Grazes on macroalgae and leafy algae in the wild. Offer dried seaweed, lettuce, and algae-based pellets. This large species has a substantial appetite.
Cautions
Suitable only for very large systems (300+ gallons). Grows too large for most home aquariums — purchase only if you can accommodate its adult size.
