Behavior
Nocturnal and secretive. The behavioral adaptation of adorning itself with living organisms for camouflage is fascinating to observe. Rarely seen during the day.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivore. Scavenges for algae, organic debris, and small invertebrates. Also harvests materials from the tank for decoration.
Cautions
Will harvest and attach small pieces of coral, sponge, and macroalgae to its body, potentially damaging corals in the process. Not ideal for tanks with valuable coral specimens.
