Behavior
Hardy and active compared to most starfish. Frequently moves across the substrate and rockwork. One of the easier starfish to feed and maintain, but incompatible with reef tanks.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivore. Feeds on sponges, soft corals, clams, small snails, and other sessile invertebrates. Must be offered meaty supplemental foods such as shrimp and chopped fish in FOWLR systems.
Cautions
Not reef safe under any circumstances — will consume sponges, soft corals, clams, snails, and other invertebrates. Best kept in a fish-only tank with no other invertebrates.
