Behavior
An excellent algae-grazing snail named for its striking cat-eye operculum. Active at night and on overcast days, rasping algae off rock and glass surfaces.
Diet & Feeding
Herbivore. Grazes on film algae, hair algae, and diatoms. No supplemental feeding required in established tanks with algae growth.
Cautions
Sensitive to copper-based medications. May struggle to right itself if knocked over on a flat sand bed — check periodically.
