A peaceful and active swimmer that spends most of its time in the mid to upper water column. Best kept singly or as a male-female pair. Males may display aggression toward other Cirrhilabrus species. A tight-fitting lid is recommended as this fish is a jumper.

Diet & Feeding

Carnivore. Feeds on small zooplankton and tiny crustaceans in the wild. In captivity accepts frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and high-quality flake or pellet foods. Feed 2–3 times daily.

Cautions

May jump from open aquariums. Not suitable for tanks with very aggressive tankmates. Requires pristine water quality and should not be housed with other fairy wrasses unless the tank is large enough to establish separate territories.
