Reef Compatibility Reef safe with caution. Will not harm corals but may eat small ornamental shrimp.

Behavior

A hardy, characterful little hawkfish that perches on rock and coral, darting out to grab food. Peaceful toward fish too large to eat and easy to keep, making it a good reef-community hawkfish. Provide perching rockwork.

Diet & Feeding

Mysis, enriched brine, chopped shrimp and other meaty frozen foods; readily accepts prepared items.

Cautions

Like all hawkfish, it will hunt small shrimp and may harass tiny bottom-dwellers.
