Behavior
A slow, secretive ambush predator that perches among rock and rubble waiting for prey. Hardy and long-lived in a calm species or reef tank without fast feeders. It rocks gently like drifting debris.
Diet & Feeding
Meaty foods — live then frozen mysis, shrimp and small chunks of fish; may need live foods initially.
Cautions
VENOMOUS dorsal spines deliver a painful sting — handle only with care, never bare-handed. Will eat small fish and ornamental shrimp.
