Identification	A flagtail pipefish with a dark body, orange-yellow head and snout, and a large paddle-shaped tail marked in black, white and orange. It often sets up as a cleaner.

Behavior

An unusually bold, active pipefish that hovers in the open and even runs cleaning stations, picking parasites from other fish. Peaceful and reef safe; it thrives in a mature tank rich in copepods.

Diet & Feeding

Micro-carnivore. Provide live or enriched baby brine, copepods and small mysis in frequent small feedings.

Cautions

Needs a steady supply of tiny foods and a pod-rich, peaceful tank — not for a new or boisterous system. Keep it away from anemones and stinging corals, and give it no fast food-competitors.
