Behavior

A sand-sifting goby that constantly turns over substrate in search of food. Peaceful and compatible with most reef inhabitants. Unlike many sleeper gobies, it is somewhat more adaptable and less dependent on live sand beds for survival.

Diet & Feeding

Sifts sand and substrate for small invertebrates. Supplement with frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and finely ground carnivore pellets. Accepts a broader range of prepared foods than many of its relatives.

Cautions

Best with a sand substrate. May occasionally stir up detritus; ensure good filtration.
