Behavior

Lives almost exclusively among the branches of Acropora and other SPS corals in the wild. Peaceful and largely stationary, spending most of its time perched on coral branches. Will not harm corals — in fact, some evidence suggests it may deter coral-feeding predators. Can be kept as a pair.

Diet & Feeding

Carnivore. Feeds on small crustaceans and copepods. Supplement with frozen mysis, frozen brine shrimp, and fine reef foods. May be finicky at first if wild caught.

Cautions

Mucus coat is mildly toxic — handle with care and avoid ingestion by other fish. Best suited to established reef tanks with SPS corals.
