Centropyge multispinis
| Identification | Dark brown to nearly black body with a subtle blue sheen. Blue highlights accent the edges of the dorsal and anal fins, giving the fish its name. Closely resembles other dark Centropyge species. |

| Origin | Indian Ocean — Maldives, Sri Lanka, East Africa |
| Minimum Tank Size | 55 gallons |
| Reef Compatible | With caution — may nip at LPS corals and clam mantles |
Behavior
A hardy, reef-associated pygmy angel that is slightly more aggressive than the Flame or Coral Beauty. Adapts well to aquarium life. Like most Centropyge, it may be kept singly or as a male-female pair in a larger system. Best introduced to a well-established tank with plenty of rockwork.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivore. Naturally grazes on algae, detritus, and small invertebrates. Provide a varied diet of spirulina, marine algae, mysis shrimp, and quality angel preparations containing sponge material.
Cautions
May nip at soft corals and clam mantles. Best in FOWLR or mixed reef with careful observation.
