Behavior
Active swimmer; requires large open sand bed. Expert-level care. Will sting if provoked.
Diet & Feeding
Carnivore. Feed live and frozen meaty foods placed in sand — shrimp, clam, squid. Difficult to wean from live prey.
Cautions
Expert only. Extremely venomous tail spine. Often refuses to eat in captivity; high mortality rate.
