Behavior
One of the more challenging leopard wrasses due to dietary demands. Requires a mature, well-seeded sand bed and live rock for natural hunting. Buries in sand at night. Generally peaceful and fascinating to watch as it hunts across the substrate.
Diet & Feeding
Carnivore. Naturally picks foraminifera, amphipods, and small crustaceans from sand and rock. Must have live pods initially; can be trained to frozen mysis and copepods with patience.
Cautions
Challenging to keep. Not for new hobbyists. Requires mature live sand, established copepod population, and careful acclimation. Sensitive to poor water quality.
