Behavior
Also called the Peacock Grouper. An aggressive, predatory grouper that will consume any fish or invertebrate small enough to fit in its mouth. Bold and personable with its keeper once acclimated. Best kept in a FOWLR system with other large, aggressive species.
Diet & Feeding
Carnivore. Feeds on fish and crustaceans. Offer fresh/frozen silversides, squid, large mysis, and carnivore pellets. Wean off live feeder fish immediately.
Cautions
Will eat smaller fish. Grows large and requires a very large tank. Not reef safe.
