Overview
The Finger Leather (Sinularia flexibilis) is a hardy, flowing soft coral with soft, flexible finger-like branches that wave gracefully in the current. One of the toughest, most forgiving corals available and an ideal first leather.
Care & Placement
Adaptable to low or high light and moderate flow, which keeps the fingers moving and clean. Place low-to-mid on rock with room to grow — it can get large. Periodic shedding/retraction is normal.
Feeding
Mostly photosynthetic; feeding optional but occasional coral food helps growth.
Propagation
Very easy — cut a finger and pin/glue it to a plug; leathers root readily.

Cautions
Releases mild chemicals (terpenes) that can bother stony corals — run carbon and allow flow/space. The waxy shedding phase is normal.
