Behavior
A Paracheilinus flasher wrasse — a small, peaceful, reef-safe wrasse whose males put on a dazzling “flashing” display, intensifying color and flaring their fins to court females. Active and constantly on the move, they do beautifully in a group of one male with several females.
Diet & Feeding
A planktivore. Offer frequent small feedings of mysis, enriched brine, copepods, and finely-chopped seafood along with quality pellets; they also pick pods from the rock.
Cautions
Reef safe and peaceful, but flasher wrasses are small and jump readily — a tight lid is essential, and they should not be housed with aggressive tankmates that will outcompete them for food.
