Behavior

A hardy, peaceful, highly active schooling fish that cruises the open water and is happiest in a group. Needs a long tank with lots of swimming space and a secure lid, as it is a strong, skittish swimmer.

Diet & Feeding

Meaty foods — mysis, brine, chopped seafood and prepared foods; feeds readily.

Cautions

Fast and easily startled — provide swimming room and cover the tank. Best kept in schools.
