Behavior

One of the most dramatic flasher wrasses. Males perform rapid color-flashing and fin-spreading displays to attract females. Best kept as a harem (one male, several females). Active, energetic, and peaceful toward other species.

Diet & Feeding

Carnivore. Feeds on small zooplankton in the wild. In the aquarium, offer frozen mysis, copepods, and finely chopped seafood multiple times daily.

Cautions

Excellent jumper — must have a covered tank. Males will fight with other flasher wrasse males.
