Springeri Pseudochromis

Pseudochromis springeri

Maximum Length Up to 2.5 inches (7 cm)
Origin Red Sea — Persian Gulf
Minimum Tank Size 30 gallons
Reef Compatible Yes

Behavior

A captive-bred species widely available and considerably hardier than wild-caught dottybacks. Boldly territorial for its size but manageable in reef communities with larger, confident tank mates. A popular choice for small reef tanks wanting color and personality.

Diet & Feeding

Carnivore. Accepts frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and pellets readily — especially captive-bred specimens. Feed once or twice daily.

Cautions

May bully shy, small fish. Best with assertive tank mates that can hold their own.
