Halichoeres chloropterus

Identification	Bright green body with a pinkish-red streak behind the eye in adults. Juveniles are green with a white stripe. One of the most solidly green wrasses available.

Behavior

A hardy, active wrasse that buries in sand at night and when threatened. Generally peaceful with fish of similar size but may bother small ornamental shrimp. Adapts readily to captive conditions and is a good eater.

Diet & Feeding

Carnivore. Feeds on small crustaceans, worms, and invertebrates. Offer frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and chopped seafood. Accepts most prepared foods readily.

Cautions

May eat ornamental shrimp and small crustaceans. Needs a sand bed to sleep and hide in.
