Behavior
A large, bold angelfish native to the Eastern Pacific. One of the few large angels from this region available in the hobby. Juveniles are dramatically different in appearance from adults, making them a fascinating fish to raise through color change. Requires a very large aquarium as an adult.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivore. Naturally eats sponges, tunicates, algae, and small invertebrates. Offer a varied diet of frozen angel formula foods, sponge-based preparations, mysis shrimp, and marine algae.
Cautions
Very large at maturity. Not reef safe. Territorial toward other large angelfish.
