Behavior
A peaceful tang that does well in large reef systems. It is an active swimmer and tends to be less aggressive toward other tangs than many Acanthurus species. Best kept singly unless the tank is very large.
Diet & Feeding
Herbivore. Provide a varied diet of dried seaweed (nori), spirulina, and marine algae offered on a clip daily. Also accepts pellets and flake foods formulated for herbivores.
Cautions
Requires significant swimming space due to its adult size. Territorial toward other members of its genus in smaller systems.
