Bubble Tip Anemone
Entacmaea quadricolor

| Identification | Green, tan, brown, or multicolor tentacles with distinctive bubble-shaped tips (the bubbles often disappear under high light or strong flow). Clones readily when conditions are good. |
|---|---|
| Maximum Length | Up to 12 inches |
| Origin | Indo-Pacific, Red Sea |
| Minimum Tank Size | 30 gallons |
| Reef Compatibility | Reef safe with space |
Behavior
One of the most popular anemones in the hobby. Compatible with most clownfish species. May wander the tank until it finds suitable lighting and flow. Will clone (split in half) when healthy — a sign of good husbandry.
Diet & Feeding
Photosynthetic zooxanthellae provide most nutrition. Supplement 2–3 times per week with small pieces of fish, shrimp, or krill placed directly on the tentacles.
Cautions
Stinging tentacles can harm nearby corals — give adequate space. Acclimate slowly via drip line. Very sensitive to rapid swings in salinity and pH. Keep flow moderate to prevent tentacles catching on powerhead intakes.
